Game Description
The galaxy is under siege, and three unlikely heroes are humanity's last hope! Jet Force Gemini launches players into an explosive science-fiction adventure where the ruthless warlord Mizar and his insectoid Drone army are conquering entire worlds. Join fearless twins Juno and Vela alongside their heavily armed canine companion Lupus as they fight to liberate the peaceful Tribals and crush an interstellar invasion. From dense alien forests to enemy-infested spacecraft, every mission delivers furious third-person shooting, cinematic action, and dangerous discoveries. Rare's ambitious Nintendo 64 adventure combines relentless firepower with colorful characters and a galaxy begging to be explored!
Three heroes mean three different ways to conquer the cosmos! Juno can withstand extreme heat, Vela explores underwater passages, and Lupus uses his hovering ability to cross otherwise impossible gaps. Blast through the jungles of Goldwood, investigate the derelict SS Anubis, and venture into the eerie swamps of Tawfret while uncovering secret routes and valuable upgrades. Arm yourself with powerful weapons, including the Machine Gun, Tri-Rocket Launcher, and Plasma Shotgun, then take aim at swarming Drones and towering alien bosses. With character-specific exploration and hidden objectives, this action-adventure shooter rewards more than a quick trigger finger.
Think the invasion is over once you've defeated Mizar? Not so fast! Rescue every Tribal, recover the missing starship components, and prepare for an even greater threat beyond the stars. Rebuild the floating robot Floyd to unlock two-player cooperative shooting, or challenge friends in competitive multiplayer battles supporting up to four players. Packed with secret characters, target-shooting challenges, and unlockable racing competitions, this 1999 Nintendo release offers plenty of reasons to return. Developed by Rare for the Nintendo 64 console, this physical cartridge adventure remains a collector favorite among N64 third-person shooters, delivering a thrilling combination of exploration, firepower, and unforgettable extraterrestrial action.

Historical Trivia or Fun Fact
Jet Force Gemini arrived in North America in October 1999, showcasing Rare's ability to blend cinematic science-fiction action with the expansive exploration of its celebrated Nintendo 64 adventures. Its distinctive three-character campaign, rescue missions, and Floyd-assisted cooperative mode offered an unusual combination of third-person shooting and adventure gameplay. The game also has a fascinating packaging curiosity: some early North American boxes incorrectly advertised Nintendo 64 Expansion Pak support, prompting Nintendo to cover the claim with a corrective Rumble Pak sticker; the game does not actually use the Expansion Pak. Released in Japan as Star Twins, this ambitious adventure remains one of Rare's most distinctive original creations from the Nintendo 64 era.
