Game Description
Somewhere beyond the reaches of Galactic Federation space, a desperate message echoes from a civilization that vanished long ago. The promise of ultimate power has drawn the galaxy's most dangerous bounty hunters to the Alimbic Cluster, and Samus Aran is determined to discover what they're really chasing! In Metroid Prime Hunters, you'll embark on a full single-player science-fiction adventure spanning ancient space stations, hostile planets, and forgotten alien strongholds. Armed with her legendary Power Suit and Arm Cannon, Samus must outwit ruthless competitors, survive deadly security systems, and piece together the mystery of the Alimbics before an unimaginable threat is unleashed.
This isn't just a series of firefights—there's an entire alien mystery waiting to be unraveled! The single-player Adventure Mode takes Samus from the sprawling Celestial Archives to the volcanic wastelands of Alinos, the frozen reaches of Arcterra, and the mysterious Vesper Defense Outpost. Use your Scan Visor to investigate ancient technology, uncover hidden information, and discover clues that advance your mission. New weapons such as the Magmaul and Judicator help overcome environmental obstacles, while the Morph Ball's Boost Ball and bombs provide additional ways to explore. Combining first-person shooter (FPS) combat with puzzle-solving and exploration, this Nintendo DS action-adventure rewards curiosity as much as quick reflexes.
But Samus isn't the only hunter with something to prove! Outside the story campaign, competitive multiplayer transforms the action into a fast-moving showdown where players can choose from seven distinct bounty hunters, each possessing a signature weapon and alternate form. Challenge friends through local wireless battles featuring modes such as Battle, Survival, Bounty, and Capture, where sharp aim and clever movement can mean the difference between victory and defeat. Single-Card Download Play even supports a limited four-player Battle Mode with just one cartridge, while Multi-Card Play opens up the broader multiplayer experience. Whether you're uncovering the Alimbic civilization's secrets alone or trading blaster fire with nearby friends, this handheld Metroid adventure delivers two rewarding styles of sci-fi action.

Historical Trivia or Fun Fact
Metroid Prime Hunters was developed by Nintendo's American-based Nintendo Software Technology studio and released in North America in March 2006, bringing a fully realized first-person Metroid experience to a handheld system. Unlike the earlier Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt demonstration, this retail release featured a complete original campaign alongside an unusually ambitious competitive multiplayer component. One particularly memorable contribution was the introduction of Sylux, the mysterious bounty hunter whose hostility toward the Galactic Federation would make the character a recurring figure in the wider Metroid Prime storyline.
