Game Description

The Lost Land is calling, and something far more terrifying than dinosaurs is waiting in the shadows! Turok 2: Seeds of Evil unleashes a savage new chapter in Acclaim's legendary first-person shooter series, placing players in the boots of Joshua Fireseed, the newly chosen Turok. An ancient alien menace known as the Primagen threatens to escape its imprisonment and unleash destruction across the universe. Armed with devastating weapons and guided by the mysterious Adon, you'll battle monstrous creatures, explore hostile environments, and fight to prevent an unimaginable catastrophe.

From the burning streets of the Port of Adia to the nightmarish depths of the Lair of the Blind Ones, every mission delivers new dangers and discoveries. Blast through hordes of Dinosoids, rescue prisoners, activate ancient mechanisms, and defend sacred Energy Totems while uncovering hidden passages and powerful upgrades. The legendary Cerebral Bore joins an outrageous arsenal of futuristic firepower, bringing unforgettable intensity to every encounter. With enormous interconnected environments, intelligent enemies, and challenging mission objectives, this Nintendo 64 first-person shooter rewards exploration just as much as quick reflexes.

The adventure grows even more intense as you master new abilities, uncover hidden Primagen Keys, and confront towering bosses guarding the path forward. Iguana Entertainment's ambitious 1998 sequel pushed the Nintendo 64 console with detailed environments, atmospheric lighting, and an optional high-resolution graphics mode. Published by Acclaim, this original black-cartridge release represents one of the most recognizable editions of the game. For fans searching for a Turok 2: Seeds of Evil Nintendo 64 game, this prehistoric-meets-science-fiction adventure delivers the explosive action and unforgettable atmosphere of late-'90s gaming.

Nintendo 64 Expansion Pak Compatibility

Turok 2: Seeds of Evil supports the optional Nintendo 64 Expansion Pak, a memory upgrade that adds 4MB of RAM to the Nintendo 64 console. Although not required to play, the Expansion Pak enables a high-resolution graphics mode of up to 640 × 480, providing sharper environmental detail at the potential cost of reduced frame rate.

• Expansion Pak Required: No — the complete adventure is playable without it.
• With Expansion Pak: Unlocks the optional high-resolution display mode for sharper graphics, although performance may be slower.
• Without Expansion Pak: Enjoy the full game at its standard resolution without losing campaign content.

Not sure if you have an Expansion Pak? With your Nintendo 64 powered off and unplugged, check beneath the Memory Expansion cover on top of the console. The Expansion Pak is identifiable by its distinctive red-topped module.

Historical Trivia or Fun Fact

Turok 2: Seeds of Evil arrived in December 1998 as one of the earliest Nintendo 64 games to support the Expansion Pak, with Iguana Entertainment demonstrating its impressive 640 × 480 high-resolution mode at E3 earlier that year. Development reportedly spanned approximately 21 months, and the finished game expanded to a massive 32MB cartridge, an unusually large capacity for its time. The infamous Cerebral Bore weapon originated during the team's creative brainstorming sessions and became one of the franchise's most memorable inventions. The original black cartridge was later replaced by a gray cartridge for the Player's Choice reissue, giving collectors a recognizable physical distinction between releases.
