Game Description
Dark visions haunt a young purple dragon as a sinister power threatens to awaken! In The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night, Spyro continues his heroic journey after the events of A New Beginning, searching for answers to mysterious nightmares while the ruthless Ape King Gaul plots to resurrect the Dark Master. Joined by his loyal dragonfly companion Sparx, Spyro must navigate treacherous landscapes, battle monstrous enemies, and rediscover his elemental abilities. This fantasy action-adventure platformer for the Nintendo DS handheld system combines dragon-powered combat, exploration, and environmental puzzles in a quest to prevent an approaching darkness.
Elemental breath attacks bring fiery excitement to every encounter as Spyro unleashes fire, ice, electricity, and earth powers against formidable foes. Leap across dangerous platforms, glide over obstacles, and solve clever light-based puzzles while gathering gems to strengthen your abilities. The Nintendo DS edition adds a distinctive touchscreen twist, allowing players to execute special attacks through interactive stylus challenges. With colorful 3D environments, dramatic boss encounters, and a darker fantasy storyline, this Spyro the Dragon cartridge adventure offers an engaging chapter in the purple dragon's legendary journey for longtime fans and handheld gaming enthusiasts.

Historical Trivia or Fun Fact
The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night arrived in 2007 as the second chapter of the Legend of Spyro trilogy, continuing the darker fantasy storyline introduced in A New Beginning. While Krome Studios developed the PlayStation 2 and Wii editions, Amaze Entertainment created the Nintendo DS version with its own handheld-focused features, including interactive touchscreen combat and fully 3D platforming environments. Published under Sierra Entertainment, the game helped bridge Spyro's reimagined origins and the trilogy's 2008 conclusion, Dawn of the Dragon.
