Game Description
Climb high, draw your weapon, and prepare to bring down monsters that tower over the battlefield! In Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, join a traveling caravan of adventurers on a thrilling journey across dangerous wilderness, ancient ruins, and bustling settlements. A mysterious Frenzy Virus is spreading among the monsters, and the terrifying Gore Magala may hold the key to its origins. With towering cliffs, ferocious creatures, and spectacular aerial attacks, every hunt becomes a test of timing, courage, and preparation. One perfectly timed leap could turn a desperate battle into a triumphant victory!
Capcom takes the hunt to new heights with 14 weapon classes, including the versatile Charge Blade and acrobatic Insect Glaive. Scale ledges, leap onto enormous creatures, and use the exciting monster-mounting mechanic to bring even the toughest beasts crashing down. This action RPG for Nintendo 3DS rewards clever preparation as you study attack patterns, exploit elemental weaknesses, and carve materials to forge increasingly powerful equipment. Recruit helpful Palico companions, discover unpredictable Expeditions in the Everwood, and develop your own hunting style as the challenges grow tougher across Nintendo's handheld system.
From the shadowy Gore Magala to the razor-scaled Seregios, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate delivers an unforgettable parade of formidable creatures, each demanding a different approach. The adventure unfolds through a traveling caravan storyline, with challenging G-Rank hunts waiting for experienced hunters seeking their next great trophy. Originally expanded from Japan's Monster Hunter 4, this 2015 physical Nintendo 3DS cartridge represents a memorable chapter in Capcom's celebrated monster-hunting franchise. Historical Trivia or Fun Fact
Released in North America on February 13, 2015, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate was the expanded international version of Japan's Monster Hunter 4G, itself an enhanced follow-up to the original 2013 Japanese release of Monster Hunter 4. Under director Kaname Fujioka, the fourth generation introduced dramatic vertical terrain, monster mounting, and the Charge Blade and Insect Glaive weapon classes, giving hunters exciting new ways to battle enormous creatures. The game also achieved a major franchise milestone: by April 2015, Capcom announced that it had become the first Monster Hunter title to surpass one million units shipped in North America and Europe combined, helping establish the series as a growing worldwide phenomenon.
