Game Description
Metal Slug Advance explodes onto the Game Boy Advance with a brand-new mission crafted exclusively for handheld play. When rookies Walter Ryan and Tyra Elson are dropped into what was supposed to be a training exercise, they quickly discover that General Morden’s army has turned the island into a warzone. Armed with grit, firepower, and a few prototype Slugs, they must battle through hostile terrain to rescue POWs and crush the enemy’s latest rebellion.
Every stage delivers the franchise’s trademark chaos — massive explosions, screen-filling bosses, and clever environmental traps — but with mechanics built specifically for portable sessions. Instead of limited lives, a health gauge determines survival, adding a layer of tension to each firefight. Hidden throughout the missions are collectible E-Cards, a system unique to this entry, rewarding exploration with weapon upgrades, lore notes, and unlockable vehicles.
As the only mainline Metal Slug designed for GBA, this release has earned a reputation as one of the most collectible action titles on the system.
