Game Description
Take the wheel as Michael Knight in Knight Rider for the NES, a high-speed, first-person driving adventure based on the iconic 1980s TV series. When terrorists steal the experimental P.I.V. bomb from a U.S. military base, it's up to you and your AI-powered car, KITT, to chase them across 15 American cities—from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Navigate through traffic, avoid civilian casualties, and engage enemy vehicles using KITT’s arsenal of machine guns, lasers, and missiles. Strategic upgrades between missions enhance KITT’s fuel capacity, shields, speed, and weaponry, making each pursuit more intense than the last.
Gameplay Features
- First-person cockpit view for immersive driving experience.
- Mission Mode with timed objectives and enemy confrontations.
- Drive Mode for relaxed exploration without combat.
- Upgradeable systems: fuel, shields, speed, and weapons.
- Password system to resume progress after every third mission.
Historical Trivia or Fun Fact
Despite being based on a non-violent TV show, the game incorporates heavy combat elements, including shooting enemy vehicles and avoiding civilian casualties. Interestingly, the NES version lacks the show's iconic theme music, a notable omission for fans.
