Game Description

In Pac-Man Pinball for the Game Boy Advance, the iconic yellow hero becomes the pinball itself in a playful, ghost-haunted twist. When Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde abduct the residents of Pac-Land, Pac-Man uses Professor Pac’s Pac-Finder device to track them down — but his quest plays out across two stylized pinball tables instead of mazes. You’ll nudge, flip, and bounce your way through the Pac-Village and Haunted Boardwalk tables, collecting dots, chasing ghosts, and unlocking multiball sequences in classic pinball fashion.

What makes Pac-Man Pinball stand out is its mashup of two gaming worlds — blending the familiar Pac-Man formula of dots, power pellets, and ghost-eating with a fast-paced pinball engine designed for handheld play. Though limited to just two tables, each with alternate visual “skins,” the game captures the charm of the Pac franchise in a quirky, portable form. As a late-era GBA release published by Namco and developed by Human Soft, it carries a unique niche appeal for collectors who enjoy offbeat Pac-Man spin-offs.

Gameplay Features

  • Play as Pac-Man himself as the pinball, ricocheting across flippers, ramps, and bumpers
  • Explore two themed tables — Pac-Village and Haunted Boardwalk — each with alternate skins
  • Gather Pac-Dots to purchase in-game boosts such as multiball, ball savers, and power pellets
  • Trigger power pellet mode to flip the chase and gobble up ghosts for bonus points
  • Complete multi-step rescue challenges on each table to free captured Pac-Land residents

Historical Trivia or Fun Fact

Pac-Man Pinball (also known as Pac-Man Pinball Advance) is the only title in the series where Pac-Man literally becomes the ball, making it a standout curiosity in the franchise. Each Pac-Land resident must be rescued through unique pinball objectives, giving the game surprising depth for a handheld spin-off. A sequel titled Super Pac-Man Pinball was once announced for the Nintendo DS but was quietly cancelled, further cementing this GBA entry as a one-of-a-kind collector’s piece.
